Have Mynde archive

The publication of Have Mynde dates back to 1897 and is the single most important record of the school’s history. Searching through back copies for information can be a very rewarding but rather laborious and time-consuming process. The magazines hold a wealth of information about the school and are regularly used as reference documents.

Modern optical character recognition software can create digital versions of printed documents which can then be searched electronically. It was decided to use some of the money raised for the Archive Fund to digitise part of our collection of Have Mynde using a commercial scanning service. This is most cost-effective and produces documents that can be read on-screen and that can be searched electronically. Editions are uploaded ten years after they are published.
