A Geography graduate at Leeds University with a varied career path, Clare spoke to current girls about the range of opportunities a geography degree can bring: “It was a fantastic degree to do and opened so many doors. Geography is all about processes and how different effects along the way can impact on what you put in and get out. You get a great perspective of the world and how things can be different and it is these skills that can be adapted to so many different business areas.”

When Clare left university she started a graduate management course with Royal Mail looking at processes and where efficiencies could be made. She later joined Ford working on IT systems before taking a sabbatical and travelling to Australia. Sixteen years later she is still in Australia with a husband and two children and is currently a Lead Business Analyst for nbn Australia working on building a broadband service to be rolled out across the country.
