Chiara Lisowski ‘05

Chiara represented the UK at the One Young World conference and spoke at a TEDx event in the Netherlands.

Chiara was at Queen’s from 1995 to 2005.

After studying Music with Italian at the University of Birmingham she spent a year living in Brazil, learning Portuguese and teaching English. On her return to the UK she worked in a local language school before a brief spell in London retail.

In 2014 Chiara joined a multi-national pharmaceutical company in Chester. Since then she has also learnt Spanish, become very involved in the charity One Young World (representing the UK at its world conference in 2018); studied Internal Communications; and become a volunteer and trustee for Chester Women’s Aid.

At work she leads the Internal Women’s Network and has led various audio-visual projects. Outside work she is the Assistant Musical Director for a local community choir and has taken two accredited weekend courses in conducting.

Through connections made by being part of One Young World, Chiara was asked to speak at a TEDx event in the Netherlands in 2018. She also participated in and spoke on a panel discussion for International Women’s Day 2019 at the University of Chester.
