Transitioning with Mrs Glynn

Mrs Glynn

It was lovely to meet some of our potential new Year 7 girls recently as we welcomed them into school to sit their entrance exam. While it was not our usual day full of activities, it was still an opportunity to get to know them a bit better and look forward to the next stage in their academic journey. I enjoyed learning all about their hobbies and the subjects that they enjoyed the most at school. There were plenty of artists, historians, mathematicians and sport loving students to name but a few! I also learnt about the many pets that they own along with the hobbies that they enjoy; one that sticks in my mind in particular is one student who makes her own dolls clothes which I was very impressed with!

I can’t wait to be able to invite the girls back to school to get a real experience of our unique environment that I personally am missing so much at the moment as we continue another period of remote learning.

Please don’t worry about the transition process, you will be seeing a lot of me either virtually or in person.  I plan to meet with you this term to talk through any questions that you might have before you make the leap to the Senior School and plan to put you in touch with many of our current Year 7’s who also came from other schools. They will be able to share their experiences with you and it will give you chance to ask them any questions that you might have.  Hopefully in the near future we will also be able to have some fun days in school where you will meet your form teacher and other students in your class

In the meantime, I have created a video for you that might answer some questions that you might have about starting the Senior School.

It was lovely to see you all and I can’t wait to get to know more about you. I am really looking forward to meeting you again in September.
