School was visited recently by a reviewer from the Good Schools Guide, an independent consultancy known for its quirky and, at times, controversial opinions on a range of schools, so we opened our doors with a little trepidation!
We are very proud of our Year 7 and Year 8 athletes who took part in the Chester and District Championships at Deeside track, Connahs Quay on Wednesday. There were certainly several personal bests and the girls came out with the following results:
Our very own Cyber champions, Anoushka, Erinna, Leandra and Limonee, enjoyed another special treat this week acknowledging their success in the 2019 CyberFirst Girls competition - a trip to Windsor Castle to have afternoon tea with The Duke of York, Prince Andrew.
I spend many hours throughout the year reading with (and to) my wonderful Year 2 pupils, and to be able to support and witness their reading progress – from dogged decoding to vibrant fluency - is one of the great joys of my job.
