Q-Community

At Queen's, we're well-used to things starting with the letter 'Q'. For example, we have 'Quest', the enrichment activity for senior girls, and Q6, our specialist area for Years 12 and 13, as well as many others. Now, as I contemplate the wonderful profusion of support from, to and within our Queen's community, I wonder about coining the neologism 'Q-community'!

Last week we were delighted to receive two emails from the Leavers of 2019 - one to Year 13 offering personal support and advice on making the (now more challenging than ever expected) transition from life at Queen's to gap years, university, apprenticeships or work; and one to Year 12 offering support and help in making their choices for next year, whether that be discussion around their UCAS forms or a chat about living in London. This connection between girls and alumni, enabling students to ask questions, seek advice and get insider knowledge at a time when they can't go out and find answers for themselves is something very special, and I am sure that new friendships will be forged over the coming weeks.
