After only six weeks of rehearsals since Cabaret, the girls delivered a dazzling programme at our summer music concert.
From the opening "Mission Impossible" from Junior Orchestra, to Pop Choir's "Walk Me Home" by Pink to end the evening, there was a superb range of talents on display.
Rosie in Year 9 gave a stylish performance of the jazz classic "Take Five" on the flute, while Lucy, also in Year 9, impressed with her mature rendition of "Don't Rain on My Parade". Anoushka in Year 8 performed an original composition along to a backing she had created in music lessons using her iPad.
Music ranged from classical instrumental performances on the Cello, French Horn and voice, to an impressive "Dear Evan Hansen" medley by the musical theatre choir. Brass ensemble, Flute ensemble, Sax group and Clarinet group all performed along with the "Rock and Pop group" and Ukulele group, which are both led by the girls. A perfect summer evening.
