Head of Careers Mrs Dawson was delighted to be invited to take budding engineers from Year 10 to visit EA Technology on Capenhurst Technology Park.
Pupils started with a wonderful lunch with a number of engineers, followed by three presentations from staff in a diverse range of electrical engineering careers, offering insights into how their career decisions since school have influenced where they now are.
The students were treated to a tour of the facilities getting a real flavour of what a company who promotes the development of resilient, low cost energy networks globally actually does day to day, and learnt how they are striving to accelerate the transition to energy decarbonisation.
They even saw our own school’s energy usage and could pick out quite easily which week in the last month was half term!
