National Schools Plate Competition
Following our exciting run of games before Christmas, the next round found our U18 team travelling up to Rossall to continue their National School voyage. Within the first five minutes it was clear that this would be a close and competitive game, where we would really need to up our efforts. After eight minutes, Rossall took their first opportunity following an attack down the right wing and a clinical finish. Queen's picked up the pace and within two minutes Dakota found herself on a fast break from the half way line following a great pass through the defensive line by Holly. Dakota remained calm and slotted home the ball with confidence and power to even the score.  With continued attacks form both teams, Emma and Sophie made some great saves and wonderfully timed tackles whilst Tilly controlled the attacking treat from the right.  On around 20 minutes Sophie quickly took a side line pass to Anna who found a pass through to Dakota on the top right of the D.  Dakota stuck the ball with power into the left hand corner of the goal to take a 2-1 lead.  During the second half the game continued to be competitively contested, then at around 50 minutes Queen's was awarded their first short corner. Hope injected the ball to Anna who calmly slipped the ball right to Maddie who flicked the ball into the net with great precision to put Queen's 3-1 up. A fantastic game where the girls needed to work together for 60 minutes to contain Rossall, stay calm under pressure and take their chances when they arrived. Well done Queen's!

Chester and District Indoor Tournament
On Thursday, our Under 13 Hockey team took part in the Chester and District Indoor tournament, held at Christleton. In the Section, the team comfortably secured wins v Christleton and Bishop Heber High Schools, 4.0 and 2.0 respectively to secure a place in the Semi Final v Abbey Gate. An excellent 3.0 win was followed by the Final v King’s. In an 8 minute match, the score was 0.0 and went to penalties. Our girls concentrated well and achieved an excellent and exciting 2.1 win to be crowned Chester District Champions. Congratulations to Emma, Cerys, Hannah, Freya, Leah, Limonee, Lola, Priya and Isabella.
