Celebrating a very special milestone

Alumna Frances and letter to Queen's

We always endeavour to acknowledge and celebrate special events and not much gets as big as reaching the grand age of 100.

Alumni Officer Clare tries never to miss these big occasions of course - she sent Frances Evans nee Leach a birthday card back in October in time for the special day.

Frances left Queen’s in 1939 and puts her longevity down to coffee, red wine and gardening work as referred to in the fabulous poem she produced!

Sadly her planned party was postponed and subsequently cancelled due to the pandemic

She has fond memories of her time at The Queen’s School before WW11 and we wish her a happy and healthy 2021.
