Celebrating alumni success

Former Head Girl Alexandra recently competed at Henley Women's Regatta for the last time as Captain of the King's College London crew. She has the honour of being the most decorated captain of a KCL rowing team. Alexandra's crew qualified for the knockout stages and only lost to the eventual winners, Oxford Brookes.

Alexandra has taken her final degree exams this summer, after reading History at KCL, and is now looking forward to postgraduate study in Contemporary Chinese Studies at Oxford University in September and plans to continue her rowing career there.

She has intended spending her gap year before university, teaching English in China, and had been accepted to study at the Guangxi University of Science and Technology, but unfortunately the Covid pandemic prevented her from going. Not one to be held back by a change in circumstances, Alexandra worked as an au pair in Madrid instead and took the opportunity to travel throughout Europe before lockdown intervened.

We look forward to following both her academic and rowing careers in the future!
