Supporting Alderley Edge School for Girls Families

Following the announcement of Alderley Edge School for Girls’ closure, we are working in close partnership with AESG to support families exploring their next steps.

A limited number of places are available across all year groups for both in-year transitions and September 2026 entry.

We recognise that the AESG closure creates immediate uncertainty for many families. As a destination school for girls, Queen’s already operates an extensive, safe and reliable home to support transport network across the wider region, and in response to the situation at AESG we are putting in place a direct express service from the Alderley Edge area to Queen’s. Final routes will be shaped by where families live and the level of demand, ensuring that girls joining us can travel comfortably and efficiently.

For families wishing to continue their daughter’s all girls education, Queen’s provides a culturally aligned next step. As one of the North West’s leading independent schools, Queen’s has a long tradition of helping each girl ignite her potential through a highly tailored learning experience, delivering consistently strong outcomes.

We are deeply sorry for the uncertainty and disruption this situation has caused for AESG pupils, families and staff, and we will be extending our support wherever we can.
