Leadership Opportunities
Empowering Young Women
At The Queen’s School Sixth Form, leadership isn’t just a position – it’s a mindset, a way of thinking, and a commitment to making a difference. As our students transition into young adulthood, we empower them to embrace their potential, seize opportunities, and lead with integrity and purpose.
From campaigning for social justice to spearheading charitable initiatives, our former pupils exemplify the transformative power of leadership. Every week, we hear stories of our alumni making waves in their communities and beyond, whether it’s advocating for improved accessibility, founding charities abroad, or managing significant projects in their professional lives. These experiences, nurtured and cultivated during their time at Queen’s, shape not only their futures but also the world around them.
At Queen’s, we understand the vital role that girls’ schools play in addressing gender inequalities in society. From the boardrooms of FTSE 100 companies to the corridors of power, our alumnae have shattered glass ceilings and blazed trails in every field imaginable. We take pride in nurturing and empowering our girls to challenge stereotypes, defy expectations, and reach the pinnacle of success.
In Sixth Form, opportunities for leadership abound. Whether it’s captaining sports teams, directing drama productions, leading fundraising groups, or serving on the Head Girl’s Team, our girls have the chance to hone their leadership skills in a supportive and nurturing environment. As a small school, every student has multiple opportunities to lead, allowing them to discover their strengths, refine their abilities, and develop their own unique leadership style.
But leadership at Queen’s is about more than just holding titles or positions of authority. It’s about developing a culture of collaboration, empathy, and resilience—a culture that prepares our girls not only for academic success but also for the challenges of the “real world.” We recognise that teenagers are not yet adults, and we provide a space where they can explore, experiment, and grow without the pressures and expectations of society. Here, they have the freedom to discover who they are, what they believe in, and how they can make a meaningful impact on the world around them.
At The Queen’s School Sixth Form, leadership isn’t just taught—it’s lived. Through a combination of opportunities, support, and mentorship, we empower our girls to lead with confidence, compassion, and purpose, preparing them to excel in higher education, their careers, and beyond.
