School was visited recently by a reviewer from the Good Schools Guide, an independent consultancy known for its quirky and, at times, controversial opinions on a range of schools, so we opened our doors with a little trepidation!
I spend many hours throughout the year reading with (and to) my wonderful Year 2 pupils, and to be able to support and witness their reading progress – from dogged decoding to vibrant fluency - is one of the great joys of my job.
Queen’s Young Voices had an early start singing on Saturday at the Chester Music Festival. The girls sang beautifully: as the adjudicator commented: “It was lovely to start the day with some lovely, sunny singing”. Well done, all!
Last Tuesday ten Year 5 Lower School girls were invited to the Senior School with children from other schools to do a plastic workshop.
First we looked at information about how many different plastic items are used every week, month, year and decade. It was a scary amount.
