Getting the Message was the title of the schools' concert which Year 5 attended.

They were astonished to be sitting on the front rows of the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall and taking in the many different sounds of the world famous Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.

The concert started with The Dance of the Knights from Romeo and Juliet (theme from the Apprentice) and included gems of Elgar, Beethoven 5, Rossini, and a new piece by the Phil's "composer in the cupboard", Ian Stephens based on Morse code.

The girls were also able to join in the song Why we sing! by Greg Gilpin along with hundreds of other children and the orchestra.
