Year 2 transported back to 1941

Year 2 enjoyed a fantastic day on the farm at Tatton Park.

They were all transported back to 1941, arriving at the farm as evacuees from the city. Farmer George put them to work around the farmyard and in the gardens and Aunt Mary showed them around her home, with the fire blazing in the range and the rationed goods ready to prepare for supper.

The girls milked some (pretend!) cows, stroked, fed and observed all manner of animals and birds and sang a wartime song ('Run Rabbit Run') in the shelter whilst waiting for the air-raid 'all-clear'.

They were superbly behaved and utterly absorbed in all their 'day in the life' activities.
