On February 22, pupils at The Lower School marked World Thinking Day which celebrated the life and work of Lord and Lady Baden Powell, the founders of the Scout and Girl Guiding Movement.

Celebrated since 1926, World Thinking Day is a day of international friendship, speaking out on issues that affect girls and young women, and fundraising for 10 million Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world.

The World Thinking Day Fund enables World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts to offer support and opportunities to girls and young women and Member Organizations around the world, allowing them to run projects and campaigns, attend training events, conferences, seminars and so much more.

Pupils who are scouts, beavers, rainbows and cubs were invited to come to school in their uniforms as all the girls reflected upon what it meant to be connected - to our inner selves, to our friends, to the wider scouting and girl guiding movement and to the world.
