Once again our Lower School pupils wholeheartedly embraced World Book Day by arriving to school dressed as their favourite literary character, whilst helping to raise money for charity.
Fun activities at The Senior School included a book sale, a fancy dress Book Club and a closely fought lunchtime book quiz.
Book Club pupils dressed as characters from The Wizard of Oz and outfits at the Lower School included David Walliams' Gangsta Granny, Pippi Longstocking and The Mad Hatter. As usual, staff also rose to the challenge in spectacular style with Cruella de Vil, Fantastic Mr Fox and Winnie the Pooh making an appearance in the classroom.
Lower School pupils raised £160 for The Oaks Charity School in Sierra Leone with their dressing up. The Lower School is forging a link with The Oaks Charity School community and all funds will be spent on books and resources for their pupils. The infant department also took part in a book swap. Junior pupils organised a book sale and around £100 was raised for Cheshire Young Carers.
