A taste of Sixth Form

Year 11 students have been given a real experience of Sixth Form at Queen’s with two taster days showcasing the unique environment of A-level study.

From wearing their own clothes and using the Year 12 Common Room, to experiencing the different learning environment of Sixth Form, the girls have taken part in a variety of lessons to give them a sample of the range of options open to them at A-level.

Coming together in the Hall at the end of the two days, the girls enjoyed afternoon tea before a short presentation from the Head of Sixth Form Mr Wilson.

The Sixth Form at Queen's draws on the huge academic talent of the Senior School but differs in many ways; teaching and learning is much more collaborative and students are encouraged to develop their independence through activities, taking on responsibilities, volunteering and independent research.

Come along to our Sixth Form Open Evening on Thursday 17 October to see for yourself.
