One of our Year 7 pupils has achieved amazing success, coming runner-up in the Junior UK BEBRAS Computational Thinking Challenge run at Oxford University.
Raka visited the Department of Computer Science at Oxford University on 19 February to take part in the second round of the UK-wide competition.
The UK BEBRAS Computational Thinking Challenge is designed to get students excited about computing and computational thinking. It is a problem-solving contest with questions inspired by topics in computer science.
Raka is one of only 53 top-achieving students from years 6-7 who took part in a final challenge before attending lunch and a prize-giving ceremony at Hertford College. The finalists, who brought a guest with them, were drawn from more than 50,000 students across the UK who took part this year. Well done Raka, we are extremely proud of you!
