A step into history

Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed their trip to The World Museum in Liverpool, where they took part in a workshop with a natural historian who was took them back in time and gave the girls the opportunity to handle genuine ancient Egyptian artefacts! They explored canopic jars, household objects and a replica of the Rosetta stone.

The girls also wandered through the Ancient Egyptian exhibit and enjoyed sketching many of the things they saw, including real mummies! One of the mummies highlighted by staff is one of only ten in the world that still has hair....amazing!

All the girls had a lovely day expanding their knowledge and learnt so much more about Ancient Egypt.
