Year Three recently stepped back in time and experienced life in the Roman fortress of Deva. Accompanied by a Roman soldier and dressed in armour, they enthusiastically marched to the Amphitheatre and practised various battle manoeuvres.

The girls also attended a workshop at the Grosvenor Museum, where they were taught how to be archaeologists and given the opportunity to handle and study some real Roman artefacts. It was an exciting and informative day and an excellent introduction to their ‘Romans in Britain’ history unit
