Sport successes

Swimming
Both our medley relay team and freestyle relay team of Year 6 girls returned victorious from the ESSA North West Regional Swimming gala at Everton Park last week.

Both teams won their events and will now go through to represent the North West in the National finals at Sheffield in June.

AJIS Biathlon
Eleven Year 5 and 6 girls went to Rossall to take part in the AJIS Biathlon on Friday.

The girls had to run 800m in awfully wet and windy conditions and then swim 50m.

The top three girls results from each age group were added together to give an overall score. The top three girls from Year 5 were Olivia, Polly and Martha and they came 3rd in their age group. The top three girls from Year 6 were Lucy, Sophia and Esme who also came 3rd in their age group.  All six girls came home with a bronze medal and performed brilliantly.

Huge well done to everyone that took part.

Lacrosse
It was Queen's v Queen's representing their countries at the recent Lacrosse Home International Championships.

Familiar to playing on the same team in school as well as Oxton Lacrosse Club, Amelia and Anna in Year 11 were faced with playing against each other as Amelia represented Wales on the U19 team and Anna represented England.

Fantastic play from both girls and a well-deserved win for England!

Congratulations to Jess, Libby and Ella on their victory at the England Regional Academy Lacrosse Tournament over Easter.
