Pupils from the Young Voices Choir enjoyed a poignant opportunity as they received an invitation to take part in the VE Commemoration Service at St John the Baptist Church, Chester on Saturday 9th May.

The oldest church in Chester and the first Cathedral for the city, St. John's is a truly beautiful place, wrapped in history and character.

Led by Rev David Chesters, a wonderful service celebrating the endurance and commitment of all involved in the last World War took place.

Our choir sang ‘Make me a Channel of Your Peace’ and ‘The Lord is My Shepherd’. Mrs Cookson's eyes watered with pride. Charlotte Chesters read the lesson beautifully.

Thank you to all the pupils, parents and of course, to Mrs Corlett, for taking time out of a busy weekend to join Reverend David and Mrs Chesters at this fantastic service. Thank you also to Mrs Audas for some wonderful images of this special event.
