Congratulations to sisters Maisie and Evie (above) who have been selected to represent Cheshire in the English Schools National Championships. During the athletics season they both achieved the entry standard to qualify and Cheshire are only to enter 35 athletes. We wish them the best of luck when they compete in Gateshead in July.

Our Under 15 and 13 athletics teams, following their Cheshire success in May, were selected to compete in the North West of England round of the English Schools Cup Athletics Championships at Wigan. Twelve girls in each team take part in all the events, scoring points for their performances. In a very competitive event, our girls achieved personal bests and placed 9th (Under 15) and 10th (Under 13) in the North West.

Congratulations to all those who took part and special mention to Maisie Tipping who won the 300m and Evie Tipping who won the discus in the North West.

Maisie and Evie, alongside Lauren, also represented the County athletics team in an Inter Counties Championships held at Birmingham to support Cheshire, to be placed 2nd to West Midlands by 3 points out of 300+!

  • Maisie won the Bronze medal in the 300m Hurdles
  • Evie won the Silver medal in the Hammer
  • Lauren was 6th out of 20 competitors in the High Jump.

The Queen's Years 7 and 9 athletics teams have also recently won their Chester and District Athletics Championships.
