On Friday pupils from both the Lower and Senior School were delighted to meet Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall during the Royal Prince visit to Chester.

The event, organised by The Land Trust, saw The Duchess of Cornwall (who holds the title of the Countess of Chester) unveil the new Countess of Chester Country Park. The park was officially opened whilst our Lower School choir sang a beautiful song called ‘Butterfly’.

A group of 10 girls from Year 9 also had the privilege of meeting Her Royal Highness – the girls had been working with conservationists on the project and were busy making bird boxes to hang in the trees when Camilla stopped during her walk around the park to talk with them.

Congratulations to all those who were involved in this exciting experience.
