As part of their geography studies, Year 5 have been examining the destruction of the rainforests around the world. They recently visited Chester Zoo for a hands-on workshop where they were able to examine objects which could be found in the rainforests.  They also had the opportunity to meet an animal that lives in some of the rainforests around the world!

They spent a great deal of time in the Spirit of the Jaguar House, Tropical Realm and Realm of the Ape examining all the interactive boards and fact-finding about the various species that they studied in their projects.

Following on from the workshop the girls toured the zoo looking specifically at all the different creatures that inhabit the rainforests, including jaguars, frogs, monkeys and the sloth.
