Our Lower School Young Voices choir was just pipped to the post this weekend in the BBC Songs of Praise Junior School Choir of the Year finals.
The Queen’s Lower School choir members, Young Voices, were runners-up in the competition. It is the second year in a row that the girls have made it through the televised rounds.
This year the televised performances took place at the Albert Hall, Nottingham and they just lost out to another Welsh school choir, this time the very talented Ysgol Llangennech.
The judges praised their beautiful sound and said they enjoyed the addition of 'choralography' - the dance moves that Mrs Corlett had choreographed especially for their performance.
Head of the Lower School Rachel Cookson said: “The girls had a fabulous time at the recording and just loved the drama and excitement of the whole thing. It was a truly rewarding experience for all of the girls who took part and we are extremely proud of them.”
