We have just announced the launch of this year’s annual Queen’s festival, now officially known as QFest!

This will be held over two days in the last week of term, Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th of July, and offers an opportunity for girls and staff to come off timetable and work with each other in a number of activities, try out new experiences and to relax and enjoy themselves after a hard working year.

Wednesday is our activities zone day; there are four zones and each form will take part in an activity from each zone.

In ‘FeelGood’ zone you could be taking part in a superfoods session, looking at skincare or joining an aromatherapy session. The ‘creative zone’ has a graffiti workshop, an origami session and a twig twisting workshop; ‘Energy zone’ could see you taking part in bubble football, circus skills or stage combat and the ‘This Girl Can’ zone has a coding session, an escape game and a bubble workshop!

Thursday is our all day music festival. The morning will involve acts and performers from throughout the school – including the staff band! -  lunchtime sees a drop in beatbox session after a picnic lunch and garden games, and in the afternoon our ‘main stage’ event introduces well known local band The One Hit Wonders.

We’re hoping for a real festival atmosphere, with lots of enjoyable activities for everyone – and fingers crossed the weather is good!

QFest merchandise such as wristbands and Tshirts will soon be on sale and your daughters will be given more opportunity about how to buy these in advance of the event.
