Year 3 girls visited the Weaver Hall Museum in Northwich recently where they experienced a ‘hands on’ day looking at the changes in Britain from the Stone Age to Iron Age.

The girls tried grinding wheat on a saddle quern, learnt more about the technology of working with bronze, handled artefacts for hunting, fishing and farming and made their own replica beakers using the same methods as a Bronze Age potter.

They also attempted to recreate the sounds of the Bronze Age using bone whistles, horns and a variety of musical instruments!
