A-level physics students jetted off to Geneva to visit the CERN lab recently.

The girls were given the opportunity to look around Geneva that evening before going to CERN on Monday morning. CERN is the world’s leading Physics research centre including the famed Large Hadron Collider.
The students took part in a three hour tour of the complex and also spent some time visiting the other scientific exhibits at the site.

The visit touched on several parts of the A-level Physics course including work on Particle Physics, Magnetic Fields and Electric Fields as well as giving the students the opportunity to interact with professional physicists.
