Seven girls participated in this year’s Mathematical Olympiad for Girls, an event run by the UK Mathematics Trust, introduced in 2011 to help nurture the talents of enthusiastic young female mathematicians.

There were 1,637 participants from Year 13 and below. The top 22% received a certificate of distinction. Three of our girls, Chloe Bransby, Alice Gooda and Emma Whitfield achieved a distinction.

Congratulations also go to Sian Davies, Jasmine Fox, Priya Shukla and Elizabeth Wood Bowyer for taking part and they missed out on a distinction by 1 mark.
