Last week Little Engineers at the Lower School learnt all about the different types of engineer that exist with a light-hearted quiz. They researched the different types of materials and estimated if they might be more or less suited to different types of projects.
Then the girls donned their hard hats and got messy, learning all about what it takes to become a civil engineer. The girls got into teams to build a bridge across their desks, using different materials in different ways to work out which was the strongest and most resilient. They then tested their bridges with 200g cars.
The girls' next project will involve using recycled materials to make something very exciting...watch this space!
