We have received some wonderful artwork from around 20 local nurseries for our Little Artists competition which is currently being displayed in the Lower School Hall.

For the second year running The Queen’s Lower School invited creative nurseries and pre-schools to take part in its Little Artists Competition, designed to give the opportunity for mini Monets and pint-sized Picassos to see their art work displayed in a special exhibition and win prices worth hundreds of pounds for their setting.

This time the competition had a distinctly cheeky theme, drawing its inspiration from the celebrations surrounding the start of the Chinese Year of the Monkey in February. All participating nurseries were sent a copy of the popular story book ‘Monkey and Me’ by Emily Gravett and are then asked to submit their works of art inspired by the book - and they certainly didn't disappoint!

All of the children who took part have now been invited to prize-giving afternoon on Saturday, May 14, when they will also get the chance to see their work exhibited and take part in some fun activities.
