This week Year 6 pupils have been continuing to find out about the life of John Lennon in their history lessons. Both classes produced informative booklets of information about the singer's childhood. To complement this, they have explored the lyrics and meaning of the song 'Imagine', which has been heard in the Year 6 classrooms all week.

In English lessons girls have considered possible contemporary themes upon which to base their own versions of the iconic song, including discrimination, the refugee crisis and climate change. The outcomes were outstanding and some groups were even brave enough to perform their compositions to the class. Well done Amelia, Raphi, Iniya, Raka and Ananya!

In Creative Development the girls have been working on their Warhol style John Lennon portraits, taking great care to reproduce the images exactly to contribute to a collaborative piece.
