Olivia and Anna in Year 12 were asked to sing the National Anthem at an Investiture being held at the Chester Town Hall, once at the beginning of the ceremony and again at the end.

Four people were being awarded to be a medallist of the Order of the British Empire for services to their communities and workplaces, as part of the Queen’s New Year’s Honours list.

The two girls sang with poise and maturity at this prestigious event, earning them high praise from those attending the ceremony including the Lord Mayor of Chester.

They later had the chance to meet HM Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire, Mr David Briggs MBE who presented the medals on behalf of the Queen.
