Three Year 12 students have been successful in achieving prestigious ‘Headstart’ placements.
The highly sought after Headstart courses are science, technology, engineering and maths experience courses aimed at 16-17 year-olds. They provide an opportunity to have a week’s hands-on experience prior to making their UCAS applications.
Girls will be shown different courses and career paths available to them, get a taste of university life and meet role models from industry.
Queen’s Head of Physics Pam Steventon said: “The Headstart courses are an excellent way for pupils to get to know the options available to them from studying a subject like physics. They discover which parts of the subject interest them the most and which careers they could aspire to.”
The successful girls are Elizabeth, Priya and Emma.
