Many congratulations to our Footprint Team who won the National Sixth Form Tycoon in Schools early this week at Buckingham Palace.
The competition was organised and held by Peter Jones (Dragons' Den) Foundation. It was designed to allow students to gain valuable hands-on experience of what is involved with running a business.
The Footprint Team designed and made a children's book highlighting the importance of diversity in society. The company's aims were to educate children in a fun and creative manner and strike a balance between making a profit and improving society.
The judges were so impressed that they won the Sixth Form final and were presented with their award by HRH Prince Andrew, Duke of York.
Footprint Managing Director Mable said: "It was a fantastic day for all of us. We received a lot of positive and encouraging feedback from Peter and the Duke of York. They encouraged us to continue our business and look into expanding the business outside Chester.
"Afterwards we had a stand to display our products and promotional videos to the attendees. These included representatives from big businesses including Lloyds Bank and Canon, among others. We really enjoyed the challenge and the opportunity."
