Wednesday saw Year 12 off the timetable for the whole day learning about the many different elements of a successful application to Higher Education.
Girls benefited from the expertise of Mrs Julietta Dawson, our full-time Head of Careers, and enjoyed learning how to maximise the use of various websites and books to inform their research into choosing courses which best fit their aspirations and aptitudes. In addition, they were given detailed information about the factors to consider when choosing a university.
A highly interactive afternoon followed, during which girls were able to practise writing strong statements linking their skills and experiences with essential course requirements in preparation for creating their personal statements.

There will be several sessions in school in the weeks to follow, including visits from speakers from A Year In Industry and Projects Abroad and further supported time to ensure that applications are well under way before the end of term.
