Our Infant pupils have been making the most of the outdoors since the new term began. We are very proud of our outdoor learning environment and use it at every opportunity to enhance our lessons in all areas of the curriculum.

From story-telling and phonics to nature hunts and maths work, pupils have had so much fun! Year 2 have been reading 'Wild Child' by Jeanne Willis and then becoming the character themselves. Year 1 gathered together in the 'Round House' for a phonics warm-up, practising letter names to match their sounds.

Reception children explored the outside on an adventure down to the forest area at the edge of the field. They were hunting for different types of leaves and other natural resources to use in current maths work on pattern-making. They used vocabulary to describe size and shape before making some super repeating patterns. The girls have also been making patterns with actions and musical sounds, we have been very proud of their involvement and understanding.

As always, the mud kitchen has also been a favourite place to be at play times!.
