Commemoration 2019

We welcomed pupils, parents, alumnae and staff to Chester Cathedral today for our annual Commemoration Service, where we give thanks to the founders of The Queen's School for their efforts 141 years ago.

The voices and instrumentalists to be heard were only matched by the poignant and entertaining speeches given by Queen's parent of some 19 years Bob Pugh, alumna and barrister Libby Anderson and staff member Miss Littler, who is retiring at the end of this academic year.

Contributors spoke with warmth and described how Queen's is 'so much more than a school', rather a 'life-enriching' community.

The Chamber Choir and Young Voices sounded superb and we all enjoyed singing our favourite hymns whilst being reminded of the true worth of the girls' education.
