A brave group of 11 teachers and  parents took part in The Commando Challenge on Saturday. The challenge involved completing a Marines Endurance Course on Woodbury Common, Exmouth. The mammoth effort was undertaken to demonstrate to the girls the grit and determination that being in a team requires, helping to re-enforce the 'This Girl Can' ethos! The event also raised more than £2,000 for Devon Air Ambulance and the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund.

The challenge included one of the four Commando Tests that Royal Marines completed to earn the Green Beret, with a 4km run and a series of tunnels, including the sheep dip which is completely submerged in water, and other obstacles.
