Queen’s Young Voices reinforced their status as a top competition choir at the Chester Music Festival, winning two trophies with ‘commended’ in both classes.
Although the choir had no other competitors in their classes, the adjudicator emphasised that this did not mean that the trophies were theirs - they had to prove their worth!
He was particularly impressed by how well the girls presented themselves and their constant musical focus - quite difficult to achieve first thing on a Saturday morning! They performed four contrasting songs which included unison singing, three-part harmony, some super solos and even some actions to wake them all up.
Well done to all the girls involved.
