Charity cake sale success at Queens Lower School

After planning and advertising her own charity initiative, Year 4 pupil Zaira and her friends are happy that their efforts raised £157.70 in support of the refugee crisis in Syria.

Delicious cakes and biscuits, as well as balloons and stickers proved very popular as the charity sale took place on Wednesday. Our thanks to everyone for their support.

Zaira and her family are attempting to raise £10,000 to support the plight of Syrian refugees. Zaira's mother, Sureya, has already raised nearly a quarter of that target through her JustGiving page and as a school we are determined to do all we can to help.
