Year 6 had a very busy last week at the Lower School.
Having performed the spectacular 'Mystery at Magpie Manor' the week before, they began the last week reminiscing in order to dramatise their journey through the school for their traditional 'Moving Up' assembly.
They had lots of fun recalling memorable and amusing anecdotes from which they created short sketches. Highlights included: their first ever school trip (to Morrison's!); memories of Ullswater, London and France residentials and playground crazes - from loon bands to Smiggle!
There wasn't a dry eye as the girls performed 'When I grow up' from the musical, Matilda, and 'Sing' by Gary Barlow. Proud parents then joined their daughters for afternoon tea in the garden.
On the last day all the girls looked amazing after they had festival glitter makeovers from Mrs Taylor and Stables before heading off on their traditional trip to Manley Mere for the Year 6 party.
All the Lower School staff, and particularly Mrs Stables and Mrs Taylor are very proud of the girls' achievements this year and wish them a happy summer and lots of fun as they move on.
