Pupils from Years 10 and 11 were joined by their parents at the annual Careers Convention on Wednesday November 25, as they explored the rich array of employment opportunities available to them after they complete their studies.
The girls enjoyed in-depth discussions with leading representatives from a number of different sectors and industries, including law, higher education, healthcare, business and commerce, engineering and technology and HM forces.
They were then invited to hear a presentation from a number of the individual representatives, hearing first-hand the skills and dedication needed to succeed in their chosen arena. These talks covered a wide range of topics including 'Disaster Management and Humanitarian Conflict' from Dr Gemma Sou and 'A Year in Industry/Stem Ambassador' by Rosie Archard.
Those interested in the potential of exploring a career in medicine had the chance to hear from Dr Rao, a consultant orthopaedic surgeon, who discussed the specialisms of orthopaedics, joint replacement and musculoskeletal.
