Bronze success for Queen's Cadets

The past two Sundays cadets have been out in the Clwydian Hills practising and being assessed for their Bronze National Navigation Award, and by the end of trips all 14 cadets had passed!

The girls learnt new skills such as using linear features like fences to handrail along to their check points. They are also now confident in how to plan a short route to a target, and be able to describe how long the route might take, what they would pass on the way, and how they would know when they are in the right place. These skills will be very useful on our annual Easter and Summer camps and some cadets will now have their sights set on the Silver Award.
