Our Cadets enjoyed wonderful weather while attending the National Navigation Award Scheme Bronze course.

Day one took place in the foothills of Moel Famau where they learnt about linear features, catching points, ring contours and the best strategies for getting from one point to the next. Lunch was in a welcome shady spot.

For day two they relocated to Nercwys Forest to fine-tuned pacing and timings before heading out in pairs on an orienteering-style course to prove their bronze skills.

We are delighted to report they all passed the award and indulged in ice creams on the way home to celebrate.
