It was with excitement the girls of Key Stage Two took on their first inter-house sporting challenge of the year, the biathlon.

This test of speed and endurance saw all pupils in Years 3-6 swim and run in quick succession. The combined times were used to discover the winning biathlete from each year:

Year 3 Clara Cummins
Year 4 Beatrice Taylor
Year 5 Gracie Anwyl
Year 6 Lucy Thomson

Every girl who completed the biathlon was awarded points based on their position, these were totalled according to their house. The results were as follows:

Winners - Unicorns
2nd - Griffins
3rd - Phoenix
4th - Dragons

The Unicorn Sports Captains were delighted to receive the Biathlon trophy in assembly and are looking forward to a year of seeing it displayed draped in ribbons of Unicorn yellow.

Well done also to all our parents who braved the terrible weather to complete the parents' biathlon on Thursday 16th October and many thanks to those parents who contributed to the wonderful cakes afterwards!

The school raised a total of £224.50.
