Around 15% of girls attending either the The Queen's Lower School or The Queen's Senior School come from the Wirral Peninsula.
Towns such as Ellesmere Port, Heswall and Parkgate are very nearby and even those further afield such as Hoylake, West Kirby and Meols are only half an hour away.
As a city-centre independent school, we are lucky to have excellent transport links, with the Senior School being only a minute's walk from the bus station and only a 10 minute walk from the train station.
Girls either use this easily-accessible public transport or travel on our school buses or by car. Often parents car-share for ease and economy.
We have excellent on-site wraparound care at the Lower School (ages 4-11) and at the Senior School (11-18), there are designated homework rooms for girls who need to stay at school later.
The vast majority of extracurricular activities take place at lunchtimes and during breaks so that girls can travel home on school buses and take public transport in daylight.
If you would like to know more about sending your daughter to Queen's from Wirral, please contact our Admissions Officer Mrs Jane Taylor who will be able to talk through transport options with you.
